She was worming all of her chickens, when I bought the eggs. She said that she couldn't sell them for eating (her usual business), but her vet said that the wormer wouldn't effect them for hatching.

It does depend on what the wormer was but I suspect that is what caused the deformed chick. Gotta love mutagens

I opened up the shell on the last phoenix egg last night, it had pipped and stopped. Wrapped in wet paper towel and went to bed. This morning it is out and running around with the other two. 3/6 on the phoenix.

The one remaining partridge got the same treatment this morning, but it hadn't pipped. It's beak is I a web of veins but I don't think I did to much damage when I exposed it's beak, it was acting like it was ready for oxygen. It's covered with a wet paper towel and we will see how it does. 1/12 and don't know if it will make it out.

The d'Anver eggs that looked so strong at candling and lockdown were filled with fluid and died before absorbing yolks, sometime between day 19 & 21. If I order more I will run the incubator with lower humidity and up the temp a degree.

Now to get ready for company, MIL's birthday, clean house, finish taxes, and work graveyard tonight. Typical Saturday up here.
 
Today is day 19 on my shipped Serama eggs I was so excited to see a pip but of course it's from one of my own flock's eggs lol come on chicks!!

Okay Sandy. There is a Texas Roadhouse right off the freeway or Johnny Corina's if you guys like Italian but there are lots of places in Modesto. They don't open til 11:30 though. Anyplace at all is fine with me.

Beautiful older wooden Georgia Quail Farm Incubator. I love the wooden incubators. I have two others that I use every day. This incubator has been lovingly and sympathetically restored. I have added a new 3 prong electrical cord, new turner motor and turner timer switch. I have replaced worn plywood and trim pieces, replaced all the weather stripping between each piece of plywood and painted the box to match original color.

This incubator works like new. It heats up and holds temp beautifully. It will give you years of beautifully hatched chicks. It is a 3 turning tray incubator and 1 tray hatcher with lid. I will include the pink egg trays that allow you to incubate 288 chicken eggs.

i think this is from Cash Poultry up there. I wish I had room for all the chicks it would hatch
 
Last night after not loosing power all winter I lost power for 4 1/2 hours

I am hoping the crele eggs I recently set in the Genesis will be ok. since it was just a few days ago.
luckily my 2 week old chicks in the carport brooder where ok. they must of huddled up with the more feathered 4 week olds

it is 32 degrees out there now and breezy
