After working with all these strawberries I don't want to look at another one for a long while... but I am not done yet :p My long fingernails are pink through and through.

Oh, I misunderstood, I thought they raised their own. I don't want hatchery D'uccles for Nolan. I've seen them and the beards are small. Why start with small beards? Thanks for the heads-up! I know some feed stores try to raise their own stock. We have a small one in Ceres that does.

This got covered after I quoted, but farmers does both. Some of there birds are great! Some are hatchery. I have never met the owners, just the I only work here guys, i only see on weekends, lol. I don,t buy feed there anymore. Its cheap, however
I like the term "lockdown" too....and probably for the same reasons. It reminds me to keep hands off as much as possible

Will this be an app that holds data? If so, it would be great if it could do things like record when/why eggs quit developing, how you marked the chicks, (band colors, etc), even pictures of chicks so you could compare that to how they matured (I know...I'm getting into a whole program now, not an app....

They have programs like that! We could include a google docs template for sorting that mebby.. hrm.. Trying to stay in the 99 c or $2.0 category however. I can only bleed so much of Marios time before he implodes. But a FILE you could import that lets you do that!! That I could do...
Id need seventy people to spell check , however!

Feedback requested and appreciated......

This is the one Mottled Ameraucana chick from the first clutch that survived. It looks like a pullet (thank goodness), but doe these look like ear tufts? I know Aracaunas hane them, but didn;t think Ameraucanas did.

Guess I'm either at the northern part of southern California, a county just north of LA county, or perhaps lower central?
Southern end of the High Sierra/ Nevadas.high desert...surrounded by mountains.

Welcome to the group! Exactly where in California you are doesn't really matter...we have former Californians and Oregonians here too! We are happy to have you join us!
