I just talked to my Brother who lives in Lake Almanor West and he says the "Chips" fire is 6 miles away now and they are expecting winds to pick up which might bring the fire closer to his home!
He's moved many of his "prized possessions" out of his house to a friends house! Prattville just south east of him has been given an evacuation order I guess! I miss California
but we count our blessings now having to suffer the extreme heat you guys have!
The hardest day for our Chooks is when we're late with their treats!

Glad to hear that your family is safe and well Ron! I'm sorry for all you guys near the fires and I feel guilty living up here in the Northwest now because our hottest day was in the low 90's!Thank you Both!
The news report said the fire was stopped at hyway 44 so ok for today. My oldest daughter is already making plans for the rebuild![]()
We are funny that way. My mom is in Redding and safe. It would be sad to lose everything up their but at least everyone is safe. I am praying for the firemen.
