Coop pics almost done needs a roof and paint but pretty much done.







One more freestanding removable roost will go inside to provide access to the higher roost if needed.

Once done with that its a matter of framing in the run and adding a ramp.
 
It depends a bit on what type of duck you get. Some are very hardy, some are very loud, some are delicate, some are quiet... for ducks.
Also duck poo is very wet by comparison to Chickens so they are very messy.(Or so I have read and remember from the one time I had ducks as a child)
 
So maybe not the best backyard pet?
I love ducks, LOVE them. Had them the whole time I was growing up. They seem to be a lot messier and a lot harder on the land they're on than other poultry. It is possible to keep them as backyard pets, but go in well-researched and with your eyes wide open.
