All my chickens sound fine when they "talk"...but my two Andalusians, when they sneeze, it sounds wet. That's the only way I can describe it. They're acting fine and look fine, just have wet sounding sneezes. What could that be? Do I need to worry/do anything?

ETA: They aren't sneezing any more than normal. Just after eating like they always do.

Don't know if anyone saw this... I have no idea what to do. Help! :(

Oh I hope our story ends as well as yours did! The yeast is a good idea. I made a run to JS West and they had neither Nutri-drench nor Polyvisol. I was sad. So I'm going to be creating a home-made drench. It has until Friday PM for a miracle

. I have to be gone on Saturday so that's all the time I can give it.
I hope so too! After all the care they become a favorite

You can get Poylvisol (baby vitamins without iron) at the grocery store in the baby isle. I found the vitamin B12 liquid at CVS pharmacy. I think the scrambled egg played an important part too. Egg yoke is high in B vitamins as well.

I don't know why I don't see the full quote, but I am hoping the auto waters help. It doesn't seem like much but it all adds up time wise

They do get quite tame with all of the TLC :)

2 BLRW out! :ya P**ssed off broody hen. One more egg pipped. I now at least one of the other 2 eggs probably will not hatch (looked like a qutter but I put it under her anyway). Not sure on the 5th egg...
Cute family :)

It better not be infection!  This is a different incubator!  The other yolk-sac infection babies were from shipped eggs that I hatched in the other incubator!  They were dirty eggs.  I was afraid to wash them.  I've paid for that choice a dozen times over!  :hit

So I'm doin an experiment:
I used the oxine UNACTIVATED on most eggs.
But there were some with broken egg on them. I did the activated oxine on those.
I marked what was what and I'll let everyone know how it goes. I figured the ones with yolk didn't have a great chance, so we shall see.

I had noticed my Tolbunt Polish wanting to get into the coop, so I picked her up, put her in, and locked all the other hens out. Checked on her a couple hours later and found an egg in the nest box! Woohoo! Officially have another egg to set, I'll set exactly 10 days from now I think. Hopefully I'll be able to continue being able to tell which eggs are hers by separating them when it looks like she wants to lay.
Good timing! Make sure you mark it with the date and something to tell you it is hers....like "TOL" or something

Quote: I got mine at TSH

I went to cull the chick. I'm such a hard case that when it shrieked at me - I fed it vitamin water instead of a shovel.
I am afrais that may happe with mine,.....I don't know if I could cull a baby.....

Sounds like they have a "Chicken cold". Seems to be going around a LOT right now. I treated my meatbirds with Tylan 50 and VetRx for 5 days and they all recovered
Quote: I will give scrambled eggs in the morning too.
