California - Northern

Thank you guys :) The leg color of the yellow EE that I can see is orange.
The one EE that I can see(the one with the orange legs) has a black spot on her back, is that normal? I'm absolutely positive that she's from a green/blue egg, not a TJ's egg, as I counted the TJ's eggs after she had hatched and all 13 were unhatched.
leg color will likely change.
Ameraucana hatch with orange legs a lot but change so if its a cross of a few probably will do the same

One of the three Pita Pinta eggs has a pip!

LOL! I was too. She's the boss out of my 3 hatchery girls. But she's never seen a boy before so....

So Sunday morning breakfast will be bullseye check. They would be black sex-link right? BCM roo over barred rock hen?

Yep I would think so. have you looked at the first post in this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/261208/sex-linked-information it is a great thread and very informative. Not as great as this thread of course...but where else could you expect to find that??

So we have a small problem...I had an Easter Egger and a Trader Joe's chick hatch out while I was gone for a couple hours. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but the problem is this...they're both the same color! I can't tell which is which. They're both yellow, but one is more of a darker, brown-ish yellow(but still obviously yellow). They're both still wet, but I can tell neither have chipmunk stripes.
Basically, I have a yellow EE and a yellow TJ's chick in the bator. And I don't know which is which, but I need to be able to sell them as either this, or that... What do I do?!

Also, I can't remove and band them yet because a) I don't know where my leg bands are, and b) they're too wet to take out of the incubator. SO ANOTHER PROBLEM, now that I think about it, is that more TJ's will be hatching over night and so it will be even harder to tell which is the TJ's and which one is the EE.
I was going to say the same things that Ron and Jason said...they will differentiate as they fluff/grow.

I also had forgotten that you were in Redding too. Hope you are able to sell them all quickly but if you do end up with a juvie splash or blue girl floating around I may feel like taking a trip up your way.

Enjoy your 4th all!

Alrighty...Let's see what you guys think.
Here's the three mystery chicks. One is an EE/Ameraucana, two are Trader Joe's. Which do you guys think is the EE? Can you tell for sure? (by the way, the chick in the middle does NOT have messed up feet, it was just standing like that for some reason)

All three of the Pita Pinta eggs have action. One is zipping but has stopped and the last one has a pip.

The last two K Ranger eggs look like quitters though.

One of the Ranger chicks is black with a white spot. It should be a Boy and will likely be Barred like a BPR(Barred Plymouth rock). I think she used them in making the Rangers so it makes sense.

The two on the left have puffy cheeks.

Thanks Ron. I think I will just sell those 3 as "mystery chicks".
How do I mark the ones I'm sure are Trader Joe's chicks so I don't get them confused with the two white EE's? I tried banding them but the leg bands were too big and slid off their legs. All stores are closed today. AND I'm going out of town for a week so I can't change the leg bands when they get too small for the chicks a week from now.

Use Small colored zip ties. Replace them as they grow out. They will now need to be changed in the first week.

Off to check on the Pita Pintas!
