I don't remember, but thank you! I need to go count how many have hatched :) Left the house for a couple hours to get a haircut, came back and 3 more EE's had hatched! One egg left. And all the TJ's eggs, but two have pipped. :)

Just found four cold Muscovy eggs. All are alive, but might not live. One has pipped internally, one externally and these two got stepped on.

@The Sheriff

Says they are not dead until they are warm and dead. Cold and dead can be saved.

She revived a shipped chick that was stuck in grow gel with a hair dryer. It was a great video.

Both f my incubators are occupied, so I have them sitting in a towel on warm water bottles and covered that with a sleeping bag. They're definitely warm now and peeping a little. Sure would love to see the video!

Random question, how old do cockerels have to be before they're fertile? Or, rather, would an 11 week old BCM roo be? (Since I just witnessed my first actual mating ever between my BCM juvenile and my year old barred rock)

Probably not at 11 weeks.

I am surprised the hen was willing. He must be quite a Casanova that boy. I am fairly sure I read something about 19 to 21 weeks old.

Wait three days or so and check the yolk on an egg to see if you see a bulls eye on the embryo. If they look fertile, start collecting eggs for a week and then run a test incubation.
