That is a beautiful egg basket!

Post the OEs on the OE thread. Many there think you have to use Marans. I do not think anyone has used UofA Blues and Crele Penedesencas before.
I can post this one there. It'll give a nice comparison so they can see what the actual color cooks like.
Ican do just the OE's by themselves too

"That looks good! Is it for us or for the chickens?"

My poor husband asked me that question today.

Hey y'all. Been on BYC for a bit and have had chickens on and off my whole life but recently got truly addicted. Has anyone crossed EE and Barnevelder? What kind of eggs do their offspring produce?
I have crossed a splash olive egger to my Barnevelder male - I got a blue pullet with leakage (not lacing). She is very close to laying, but not there yet.

What you would get depends on the EE and what color egg gene it has.

So half of these are thanks to @ronott1 for the beautiful egg basket .these are his OE, some blue are his Arkansas blue and some are CL
The Marans are my older girls. They're still holding color well. Waiting for the new ones to start
Gorgeous!

Oh, man! The one time I leave my phone in the house...

I missed getting a video of Quiche snapping gnats out of the air. 'Twas quite funny. Took me a bit to figure out what she was doing...
That must have been fun to watch. Wish mine would do it with the flies...

It is a great photo. Please use it for the OE thread.

Did it. Am I chicken obsessed when I think: "i I probably should have put the OE eggs where the blue ones are" . My non chicken friends just wouldn't get it :)

Concord Feed only does chicks spring through early summer they sell hatchery chicks and only have them less than a week. They seem to do a good job with the ones they do they buy from Privet hatchery. Ive been happy with the place so far and my birds seem to be doing well.

Do you know if Concord feed vaccinated their chicks for Mereks??
