NICE!!I have my first blue egg from my Americauna(yes a real one--buff) Dorking cross(please remember this was an accident) The egg is much bluer that the one laid by the Easter Egger I have.
The Rooster that I gave to Monsterclucker should have a very nice and fairly pure blue egg gene:

BC Marans (ignore the comb spots, he just got dumped into the excess cockerel pen and they were all working out the "pecking order").

But he is quite a handsome boy.

This one threw me for awhile, it was accidentally included in a box of chicks. I couldn't figure out what it was because of the single comb. It's a silver laced Wyandotte with a DQ comb, LOL. It made it to the cull pen (poor guy).

Deb (still need to sort the Icelandic pictures)
Thanks, actually he's my third place boy in my extra cockerel pen. I have two that I like better. I got them from Dick Horstman. I have a few that I culled for some color leakage and a couple more youngsters coming along with potential.debs that rock looks great, who's he from?
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I have about 9 boys to my 3 girls! That's great, the birds I've raised from dick legs never looked that good. Congrats.
If you need more birds petrock hatched about 15 or so from my line before I gave them up.
