Okay, the Icelandics and then I'll stop hogging the thread with pictures (at least for awhile).
I already posted a head shot of Arne, here's his body.
This is Heimo
This is the third place boy, he'll be going. He is timid though and I could NOT get a picture of him walking around the run.
Here's one of the pullets..........they should be so close to laying.
I got 11 eggs today. that is a couple more then what I have been getting lately with them moulting. I hope egg production is going up now. I am going to clean out the straw in one side of the coop and put in river sand that hubby brought home. I am going to wait til it cools down a little. I wanted to do it this morning but some hens were laying already and didn't want to bother them. I need the eggs. and also a couple hens that have been nesting all summer the other day they brought out 3 chicks and now today hubby counted 5 chicks. few more eggs there I am going to just leave them alone and see what hatches.
My Icelandic broody hatched out 4 welsummer chicks for me a few days ago. She's a fantastic mother at only 8 months old herself. And I have 2 other broodies that will hatch more wellies and a few black sex links (welsummer roo/BR hen) and maybe a couple olive eggers later this week.

You would think that would be an easy question to answer.
I started with pure black ameraucana's and crossed to this multiple generation olive egger rooster:
I got 2 pullets from him, 1 blue and 1 black. Here is the blue girl:
She lays a light olive egg with brown speckles. The olive egger rooster is no longer with us because he turned into a turd who liked to attack me. My black olive egger is currently raising babies.
So the eggs I have now are this blue olive egger covered by my barnevelder rooster. Hoping for more blue chicks and a darker egg color.

I asked because you breed Barnevelder and welsummers. I have 2 Barnevelder x lavender Ameraucana crosses that lay a pretty nice medium olive egg. One has a straight comb and one a pea comb. both lay the same egg.
