@TheKeeper Just wanted to tell you that all is well here. Integration is going off with hardly a hitch. I do love the sweetness of silkies!

So our boy is now in his pen. I hope you don't mind but he has been renamed. We were HUGE Friday Night Lights fans. (my husband coached and our son played football for 9 years) so All of the birds in that pen...except the chicks are named after members of the Taylor family.

He is Coach now and shares his space with Tammy...the cochin bantam, Gracie Belle the Silkie, and Julie the sizzle

Yes! Please rename him. It was a temporary name for me. I like Coach!
I'll be interested to see how he is with littles when they hatch.

For those that weren't there today, a massive Australorp beat out the amazing white rock pullet for Champion Large Fowl (which did surprise me, I thought the white rock would have won):

Both of these birds were absolutely massive.
