Out of 7 silkies, it looks like I got 3 frizzles. Yay!

Speaking of, he is loving life he now has two lovely ladies unencumbered by chicks as well as one broody mama to look after.

So cute!!! We are loving our first chicks of the season! We have 11 Pita Pinta chicks that hatched over the weekend.

those PP babies...Do you have a list? If I get a broody in time for the Easter HAL would I maybe be able to buy PP eggs from you?

Squeee! I need to hatch me some of those.
What color eggs do they lay again?

My grafted chicks came through the weekend still coddled and protected by Stella the fierce. She is the quietest broody I have ever had. More chic pics are on the way.

My NH/SL Breeding pen out for a stroll...Birds courtesy Kim and Lual and Chooks Chick. Husband's 78 Firebird under cover in the background for any classic car lovers out there.

This game went on and on like the slide in kindergarten, They hopped up from behind her slid down the front ran round behind and got in line again...I could have watched for hours but the rowdy bunch went back under


And one of the little mottled babies came out for a snuggle.

Help

My CLB continues to lay her eggs in the mud. Im really not sure why because she goes into the coop like she is going to lay then a lot but ends up laying on the ground. She lays in the dust bathing wallow most of the time.

Broody with chicks are SO adorable!! I need to give my broody Silkie some eggs or chicks! They are so fun to watch with babies!!
