I'm pretty happy with mine from him. They're large, healthy, and feathering in nicely:

Fluffy bowling balls with beaks and feet.

Eggs are in, and calendar changed to reflect lock down and hatching to be 2 days later than before. The hatch date is now the 28th, which is a Tuesday. I should give any stragglers until the next Saturday, right?

Hey Ron,
Just what the heck is, as you put it, an Urch/Turnland? Now can you guys see why I do not favor using mysterious abbreviations and Lower Slobovian lingo? The creator of that tongue, the guy who also created Lil Abner, Alfred Kaplan (signed his stuff Al Capp) has been long gone and I think we ought to let his lingo catch up to him to never being used again.
Okay, the ball is in your court…
Best regards,
Neal, the Zooman

Successful hatch! 8 Pita Pintas, 6 Splash&Blue Marans, and for a friend, 3 Spitzhaubens and 2 Black Marans!
Penny (hen below) did half the work, but then took all my 14 total chicks. She did seem a bit startled when they multiplied suddenly, but is managing like a trooper!

Marans daddy VeLo even stood and let the chicks run all over his feet so Penny could take a dust bath! Nice to see...

Urch/Turland poultry is a breeder business from Minnesota. @tommysgirl placed an order for houdans that is supposed to be delivered soon. Minnesota has an outbreak of avian flu currently and that often means that no birds will be shipped from the State.

I hope the chicks can still be shipped!
