California - Northern

Just checked online at the TSC site and it is $9.99 for 25 lb so a little less than the other one on Amazon. Of course, I would have to figure in the cost of gas to get to the nearest TSC. I guess that I'm spoiled and if the price is only a little bit higher, I would rather order it from Amazon with home delivery.

I would get it from Amazon too if TSC were not just a couple of miles from my house.

Amazon is great for a lot of purchases.

How much do you use when you do use it, Ron? I bought a big bag of Stall Dry once because our feed store doesn't carry Sweet PDZ. I must have used too much because I went through it in a short amount of time. I put a layer of it under the shavings in the coops. I sure wish that my coops were set up for the deep litter method. Somehow, I wasn't able to communicate my wants to DH when we built them.

I sprinkle handfuls over the pine shavings, not a layer. It does not take much and you can reuse it if it is still dry.

So, my babies have been in the coop with my bigger ones for a couple days. No injuries, but the big ones have scared the little ones so much they have started staying up on the roosting/nesting area of our a-frame coop, or huddled in a corner. We put food and water up there so they don't starve, but they are totally afraid of the big ones, for good reason. Will this get better, please tell me it will get better! At least the night time has been peaceful.

It will as the little ones get bigger. Can you let them free range at all (supervised)

I usually do for at least an hour or two a day. It is better then because the bigs are distracted, but then I have to chase and catch the littles because they don't want to go back in with the meanies.
