I have a question: what would I buy to spray down the inside of my coop for mites etc? Can you buy it at Home Depot? Do you recommend painting the inside of the coop? My silly chickens peck the side of my house and I'm sure they eat paint

Thank you in advance.

I have an egg eater. (actually probably a couple) Ive been out of oyster shell in the coop for a bit now so I think that might be it. They usually gobble up broken eggs so that might have been a catalyst too. We pulled the egg eater and put her on time out (put her in the outside brooder cage) Might explain a bit of why the egg production is down. She was caught all yellow faced.
You can feed them some food grade DE--It has a lot of calcium in it.

Yes, It is more likely weak shelled eggs. Egg eaters are a myth.

feed stores sell concentrated permectrin. Spray the coop, especially the corners and bottom and top of the roosts every two weeks for a month or so.
