LOL. I'm 30 and there are still times that I get carded!!! I'm short and stout, and have at times passed for the younger sister of my younger sisters ..... and they're ten years younger than me!

I got carded at Octoberfet this past Saturday and I am 37

2 pullets 1 roo! And the pullets are laying!!

I think the answer to your hatching problem is to

1. build more pens! 23? is not enough..
2. Stop looking at other peoples chickens. This includes Green Fire Farms. Use a site blocker.
3. Give me the big incubator you have and go back to the genesis

you mean that incubator that has only been turned off for a week since I bought it. The genesis at least gets an occasional rest for a few days between hatches.

Hi guys! How is everyone? My Basque chicks came down with cocci on Friday. Only one showed symptoms (very poofy.) I put Corid in their water and everyone is fine now! Thanks to everyone's advice, I had it on hand!
I went to the ranch today to see my big chickens and guess what I found?? Our first egg!! I don't know if it was laid by our Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks or our Basques but dang it's adorable!

Hahahah! Wow. You must have A LOT of chickens. Way more than I plan to have. 37, 6 each of RIR, Speckled Sussex, Dark Brahma, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Silver Penciled Rocks, Jersey Giants, and 1 Phoenix rooster.. Someday I want to have some Cucloo Marans too.
