Usually means low temp and a developmental problem. Ive tried a number of times to correct splayed leg issues to no avail. We used a rubber band fed through a small amount of drinking straw which seemed to work the best but we have also tried putting them in a top of a water bottle bed. to ensure they didnt get run over and messed with. That seemed to work pretty well for a while but some chicks managed to escape them.

That is a great idea, the straw and the rubber band. I used tape but I am thinking it's going to be hard to remove. The chick is doing well so far. How long do they need to have the splint on?

Some of my chicks from Papa's Polutry and a few hatched from the eggs I got from @h2oratt

"Pipster," my little late hatch spraddle leg chick. She has cute fluffy cheeks; I really hope she makes it!

The two on the right are from my hatch, the black one with the white head spot is the Chocolate orp/Marans mix. The brown one is the first EE that hatched, we are calling him "Surprise Jr." after his Dad. The two on the left are EE's from Papa's Poultry.

EE, Surprise Jr., mama Paloma and the Marans mix

The broodies hatched one EE chick...not sure which one it is but maybe this one? It seems to look different from the rest anyway. This is the one with the most black on it.

WOW, they are VERY cute little chickies! i will DEF order from papas again. the chicks i hatched were all superb quality...the prettiest silkies i have ever seen and the marans good quality too...

For everyone who had suggestions with the dogs I was needing to rehome I just wanted to leave an update. We just got the invisible fence in today. So far it is working!! The dogs are staying away from the fence. We have had the door open all day and they are going out but staying in the yard. I am so excited. This was our last ditch effort. As long as it keeps up we should be able to keep our pooches! So happy!!
Just a suggestion which sounds like common sense, but make sure the batteries on their collars are in working order at all times. Speaking from experience, once they even get and inkling that the collar doesn't work they will make a run for it and could wreak all kinds of havoc.

I have ordered eggs from him 3 times before but this is the first time I have ordered chicks. I ordered 6 and he sent 3 extras and they were all healthy & gorgeous.

We just bought 4 marans and a silkie pullet. We did local delivery. I wasn't overly impressed with quality. The silkie has a white beak. But since we want broodys not a big deal. He was really nice though so I would definitely buy again. :)

No worries we wouldn't overlook that lol
