It snowed more than usual up here this week. Our schools had a snow day on Tuesday because so many were without power and the buses couldn't reach everyone.
We lost 3 trees, as far as we know. There may be more but we haven't inspected the whole property. There's at least 2 more that will need to come down this weekend. There are a couple that would take put our house if they fell - huuuuge Sweet Pines. But I'm not too worried about the pines or the cedars. It's always the oaks that fall. There are no oaks near the house.
The ducks loved the snow! Chickens... not so much, except for Clary, my Spitz. That girl isn't afraid of anything - haha! My goats thought the world was ending.
Got a little bit of sun today, thank goodness. We could use a little drying out. The goat pen, in particular, is swampy. I need a couple of days to get it set to rights!
And I see it's supposed to rain ALL next week. Like, we need the rain, but itd be better spread out over the year, not dumped on the state all at once in these huge downpours.
