Thanks for thinking of me.Deb
DMRippy has white leghorn hatching eggs I thing. she is on the olive egger and ameraucana thread alot
when you leaving on vacation?
NICE I am looking at getting a few dozen partridge penedesenca eggs. was going to have Ron hatch them but am worried about the drive home being a long distance in November. I still may just dont want chicks to stressed on a long drive... hmmmThanks for thinking of me.
I've talked to her about them. Her's are from hatchery stock. I did find 8 WL chicks and they are a few weeks old now, just getting ready to kick them to an outside pen. It looks like I got 3 or 4 pullets. A judge friend of mine also found a couple of show line hens for me. I'm picking them up at the Stockton show in January.
I leave on Wednesday and I am SO ready. I spent all day painting the ceiling AGAIN in the kitchen/dining room. It ended up taking three coats to look decent. Edging 10 can lights a couple of sections of ceiling and this third coat, the cabinets have been installed so I had to be exceptionally careful. I can't wait to get away from this kitchen remodel for a couple of weeks. (And when I get home I can fire up the incubators again)![]()

I have an adapter for my car and plug my Ecoglow into it. That keeps them nice and toasty. I can also plug my incubators into the adapter.
Another trick is to use glove heaters. They stay warm for several hours. It take an hour and 10 minutes to get from placerville from here.
They will make it fine in November. Ship the eggs to my house. Send me a pm.![]()

strange... maybe they where overwhelmed by people. It was a Beautiful Day for Apple Hill.... Going to have to plan to go again in the next few weeks..
The people we went with decided after about 20 minutes, they wanted to leaveBummer! Something was up, I wasn't going to make them feel bad, even though Me and my kids were disappointed. So I bought a few pies, apples, pears and some Carmel to hold us over. on the plus side...I get to spend another day with my kids. They thought it was Awesome and REALLY want to go back...![]()

Jason, after I get back I'd be happy to hatch eggs for you (about 15 minutes between our houses, LOL). My incubators are always running and I have three. I'm only expecting about 4 dozen eggs when I get home, plenty of room.

I actually bought two. That's how I ended up taking 2 incubators on vacation with me to Oregon last February and again a couple of months ago to Tahoe. I bought a plug in power bar first ($20) and the car adapter directly from GQF for the Genesis Hovabator ($10). They work great!
It also works in a power outage emergency.
