by the way, can i tell you how much i love that these crosses are now being called Amelias? she's a delightful girl...
I like the name. It will be interesting to see how the crosses continue to hatch. both girls and guys. Deann do you have rooster pic's yet off the legbar x crele crosses?
I think you are on to something there. Penedesenca have alot of character so she should be fun to watch.

thanks! all taken with iphone/instagram...

and my neighbor has offered to set up his critter-cam by my coop, so perhaps we can get a picture of the bobcat if he comes back!

Is this the same neighbor that was unhappy about the coop?

I love Amelia's tail. Very elegant.

Great Pictures of your chickens.

The Last two pictures are Surreal. Very Artsy types of photos. I hope they will fit into a photo contest at some time. Oddly the evoke some emotions when I see them, so they must be art right?
Luckily I won't be keeping the ones in my incubators now. One hatch is scheduled for Friday. I need to set up for lockdown on Tuesday. The other is hatching on the 23.

Who is scared by staggered hatching? It is very exciting. I will need to set up the hatch cam since they hatch on a work day.
That is one of the frustrating things abut the Game of Thrones Series on HBO and the Books. Winter is always coming but never is Here! Of course they live on a planet with extra moons and Seasons that are very different from ours. Seasons last a long time with mini seasons within the seasons.

Oddly, some think Game of Thrones is set in Medieval times on our Earth.

Sorry for Geeking out...
Ron I just realized they hatch the day after Thanksgiving.... Ugh sorry about that.

no, this is the neighbor on the other side, who has chickens himself. the unhappy neighbor (who is definitely still unhappy) has planted a "spite" row of cypresses blocking his view of the chicken coop -- which is fabulous, in my opinion, as it gives me more privacy and separation from the grumpy neighbor! (and since it's on the uphill side of my property, to the NE, it doesn't affect my view or amount of sun or anything.)

Is there a Thanks Giving hatch thread?

It's ok, I will be going to Shingle Town (Just North of Lake McUmber) on thanks Giving. I will be dropping of Pullets too. Friday I will be back, so if all goes well I can get chicks to you on Friday or Saturday.

I will be off that Friday.

I am trying to figure out a new penedesenca thread and possibly a Website... Any ideas?

Has anyone heard of Azevedo Feed? I just saw their ad on craigslist. They deliver in the Bay area and have organic crumbles for $24 and organic layer pellets for $25.

I have not. It is a good price depending on what is in it. I can get Organic Pride for $28.00 ish and TSC.

Did you post on the Bay Area Thread? If someone answers there please let us know here.
