Ron, the bresse's have blue legs not blue eggs silly...

As long as they don't look like this we are ok!

I still want them some day.....

The eggs are finally starting to come. Pretty fun to have such a variety of colors!!

The blue egg layers and the Dorking are not laying, so I have 5 to 6 marans and various colors of cream to Dark Brown. I can't wait to get more blue layers and some of the OEs going. I should have 6 OEs from three crosses by summer. I will also have a Partridge Penne dark egg layer too. Of course white from the Dorking. Someday white from a Breese too.

So I bought a Ford Ranger yesterday. Today I posted the Civic on Craigslist at 8:30 . Between 8:30 and the time I closed the add at 9:15 I had 15 calls. 5 offers without seeing the car and someone just drove up handed me cash and drove off with it. Brutal.
My poor Civic was a good car. Had issues but drove me 62 miles to work and 62 miles home everyday. My phone was literally ringing constantly .
Never a issue. Good Bye My Civic !

Farmers gotta have a Truck!

Good job selling the Civic! They have the highest resale value of any car. I have a 2005 with 80,000 miles on it. It is funny when I drive it to swap chickens or pick up Chicken feed.

I've really enjoyed reading about all these hatchlings going on. The chick pictures are adorable. My Americauna has gone broody in the last several days. Part of me would love to get her some eggs to set on, but the thought of raising fragile chicks in this freezing and often rainy weather seems crazy. So, I'll just live vicariously through those that are hatching. Would love to meet other chicken people in the Davis area to learn more as I'm new to this year nice Mar of 2012.
Happy new year!
Lea
