I hope he makes it ok! Is the weather listed as safe for shipping?
this guy will be in a covered run I think with my two emp girls and maybe something else fun like a isbar or one of the Amelia hens.

so after another day now it looks like I have 3 lighter tan chipmunk pattern 3 darker chipmunk pattern and a real dark chipmunk pattern CL X CP cross.

The color is all glitter, most of those are from our buff & dark brahmas so they started off brown.

I used to blow them out but ended up with severe headache, the big syringe is great. It breaks down so I can wash it. The scrambled egg I usually feed back to the girls. Tried to use the syringe to make the holes but it just slid on the egg, didn't want to stick myself with the needle so I found a little bit for the dremel. Dremel is great for chicken toenails before showing also/different bit.

The glitter comes in tubes that are about 3 inches tall and about 3/4 inch diameter. They hold about 1/4 cup of glitter. She broke open a dozen of them when we were gone, (stolen from the table top). The ground under the dryer vent and the exhaust on the central vac system still sparkles in the right light.

The carrots I did the day before easter, you're idea sounds great for hanging them.

I've covered some with seed beads - time consuming and very heavy.

These are just bee-U-tiful eggs! I totally want to do this some day and am so glad you both shared photos and an explanation of the process.
Saw in an earlier post that ChickNmamma blows out her bantam eggs for decorating, figured I'd share what I do with them. They are just to cute to crack.

Well.. here they are so far... with my egg "basket" I collected today. I had to wash them all - because of muddy footed hens..

I love having 20 - 10 month old pullets laying on and off, I didn't run out of eggs this winter and had some to sell too! I am going to be overrun when they all start laying though!

I didn't get very far on the Easter tree eggs because today turned into a baking day when I couldn't find any of my gluten-free bread in my freezer. So instead of hunting down the Easter egg coloring kits and the crayons I made herbed muffins and lemon bars.. perfect day for baking!

Lucky! About a month ago, I had 3 dozen eggs in my fridge from five pullets and decided it was time to sell to my coworkers. That day that I cleared out the extras all but one of my girls (the BR) stopped laying! It has been a month now, how much longer will it take? I have resorted to buying expensive eggs with cool cartons I can recycle. LOL.
I had been buying eggs from late October until Dec 21! I only had 7 hens laying, the other 7 were spring chicks this year that did not start laying before winter arrived. The older girls stopped laying to molt, then never got back into the rhythm before winter. Then, on Dec. 22,. we got 8 or 9 eggs! They have been laying well ever since! In the last 2 weeks, I have given 2 dozen to friends, I cook eggs every day, and I have 5 dozen in the fridge right now! I went from an average of 1 egg/day to 8 eggs/day. It really feels like someone flipped a switch! Now, if only my wellie would start laying, again!

I love that we are still calling them Amelias. Laura... you should be proud!
