Patience is a virtue. After 48 weeks, my barnevelder pullet finally gave me an egg. Freeloader no more!

Yeah!

I guess I'll stop complaining about my 2 Easter Eggers.........They are only 44 weeks old-LOL One of them gave me a few eggs back in November and then stopped and the other one hasn't even looked in the direction of a nesting box! I'm thinking a couple of my hens are going to start back up though because they do the egg squat for us about 10 times a day. By the way, I'm loving my Wellies' eggs! They are surprisingly big for a new layer. Ginger's eggs are bigger than my Rhodie's eggs (RIR) and such a pretty rust.

Well, its only been a couple of weeks since I posted the last photo of my FBCM chicks, but the wait is driving me nuts! Seriously hoping for a pullet!

Here they are today...

Definitely a lot of copper on the one on the left (still a boy?). I can barely find any on the other one (still a girl?)!

Burr, it's cold out here, will you be my mommy?

Aren't I pretty?

Having fun exploring the yard.

Sorry about my lack of imagination on backgrounds (top of nesting box on the red coop), but they just sit so still for me up there!

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday!

My Marans experience- my pullets had no comb and barely any wattles and remained flesh colored beyond 14 weeks old. Both look like boys to me but the one on the left is def a boy!
