Jason!

I just got an email from Elias's Wife, Ashley. She was replying to my email from last week or so, had a talk with Elias and I am now on the top of their list to get White Emp Hatching eggs from them!

Amy Beth wants pullets and Chiqita wants a nice Roo!

I need to start a list! I will work hard to get one for you!

Hopefully my new incubator will help me get a good hatch rate. With so many wanting them, maybe I should get 24 eggs? If I do that, Linda will probably give me 30. She is like that you know...
Count me in too :)

yay eggs and pullets and perhaps-roos in all the pictures!

i've been wildly busy, and the semester starts tomorrow, so it's only likely to get worse -- only update is i decided this weather is just too **** cold and i brought miss Amelia indoors to hang out in the guest bathroom for now, until she feels better -- she immediately showed *some* marginal improvement, in that i had her set up standing inside an old wooden drawer, instead of a proper box, with water and food and etc, and quickly decided she'd rather perch on the edge of the drawer -- and 8 hours after i left this afternoon, i just came home & she's out of the drawer entirely, standing in the (quite dry) shower with her head tucked under her wing. i think the (MUCH!) warmer temps inside the house are helping.

thanks for all your good wishes for her -- they seem to be helping!

Well, feeling well enough to get out of her drawer and go somewhere else sounds like a good sign... here's

that she will continue to improve. Is she still getting the medication?

From what I understand the Cocci are an intestinal parasite that, when they hatch, can cause the lining of the bird's intestines to shed away and cause internal bleeding. Being cold and bleeding internally can be fatal - warmth helps, as does building a resistance to the parasites - which is what the medication does because it slows down its growth and allows the bird to build resistance to them.

Wow someone flipped the switch on my cream legbars today. I'd been getting an egg every other day or so. Then all of sudden 6 eggs today and at least 3 other brand new layers today in other coops. It was a good day but crazy how the legbars were on a timer or something. 6 eggs. I still can't believe it. It'su own little miracle!! Good thing too since I went crazy on the swap page for a month I have a lot of eggs to ship!!!
