Quote: Because of the feathers and lack of wattles, yes. It is still dicey because of the type they are and because of slow development of the breed but the Rooster feathers should have started and the wattles should be bigger at 12 weeks.

I found out that it is 12 weeks old. Maybe it is an old picture? Would you still think pullet?
I am not a Sal. Fav expert but I have raised a couple of batches. I actually have Sal Fav Bantams in the bator right now. The chicks are not auto-sexing but the boys do start getting dark really early and the girls stay light.

Is it possible the bird they are offering in the one in the background instead? That is likely the roo and the one in the foreground is a pullet.

Okay, I'll have to e-mail the seller and ask for recent pictures.
Thanks for your help!

I found a home for 2 of my cockerels. Woohoo! They go to their new home today. That is so much less stressful than CL them. Via my Instragram. They mentioned if I ever had nay extra roosters because they lost theirs...and I was like...well now you are in luck! (so was I haha) She wants the Wyandotte and the Silkie. Same home. Since they have been housed together for weeks on end - they already get along. A nice giant sheep farm- doesn't get better'n that!

Networking with others who have farms- regardless of what they 'farm' is really a beautiful thing!

I saw the link. Why oops?
Ooops because I read the description after I posted the link. LOL They commented that they did not think they were Fav because they had pea combs. However, this is how I remember mine developing. The roos got dark very early and the girls stayed light.

Good, I'm sending them an e-mail.

I hatched my first ever Crele Laced Polish chipmunk patterned chick yesterday. Up until now, the chicks always hatched a mousy grey. My goal is to one day create an auto-sexing polish.
