NO CHARD !!
OK could just be my cooking...
Speaking of it has anyone cooked polenta in a rice cooker? Can't ask mario he will freak at the thought of putting anything else in there. But I'm umpire and it sound much less messy then a double broiler

I have never cooked it that way but I'm interested to know how that turns out.

I had 15 go a couple of weeks ago, one today (big handsome GNH gets a backyard flock of his own), 15 more going on Friday and 2 more getting picked up at the show this weekend.

It is going to be MUCH quieter around here and the food bill will go down.

About ten days from now (first I have time) about 7 turkeys are heading to freezer camp. Then the food bill will drop like a rock!

Mmm we love chard and kale here. I buy the frozen bags of chopped kale from Trader Joes. I toss some in most of my soups. I thaw it and add it to lasagna. Like I would spinach. Yummy! Chard is so yummy with a light sautée in olive oil and garlic. I'm getting so hungry now!
Sounds great. What a great idea. I never thought of using it instead of spinach. I make a mean Joes Special, wonder how that would takes with chard. Now, I am getting hungry.

I got my first Olandsk Dwarf egg today!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing like getting that first egg - you know more are in the near future.

The Isbar Rooster Izzy I got from you is doing fine, I put him out for a bit yesterday - and he was calling the girls over to come get some grass.. Silly bird - he is in the cage and they are outside the cage. But he did try.
