They are and I can't wait to get some. The girls are now 7-8 mos old and still nothing. That and my Cream Legbars (gorgeous blue eggs). At least I got them split into two pens about a week ago. I've seen the boys mounting the girls, so I should be close. And by the time they get past the first few eggs, they'll be ready to hatch!!!!!
I can barely wait!

Very Exciting Deb!
Molly, you have gorgeous gorgeous birds! I love seeing all your pictures. Keep em coming![]()
Totally agree. Eye candy!
Broody Betty kicked out egg #4 (that's the labeled number of the egg). We left it where she kicked it out since yesterday and I finally brought it in today. Smelled like a fresh egg when I cracked it open and had no bulls eye. She knew. So crazy amazing.
We have been having great weather the past few weeks.. Love it!It's 56 degrees outside and is sprinkling.... very warm storm. Yesterday it was SUPER warm! I wore a T-shirt for the first time in a month or two!![]()
Ok we def got a leghorn egg today. The middle tiny one? Warm out of a nest the LHs jumped out of. Our only bantam Wyandotte also hopped off a nest holding a tiny beige-y one. She didn't lay 2 eggs in a day. Altho oddly the LH egg looks not very white in the image. The 2 on either side of the middle white are both from our lone bantam wyandotte. The big egg is from one of my Pekin ducks a d the the tan one is an Orpington egg.![]()
It does feel good to look out in the yard and see more Hens then Roosters.... Just say'in !I had 15 go a couple of weeks ago, one today (big handsome GNH gets a backyard flock of his own), 15 more going on Friday and 2 more getting picked up at the show this weekend. It is going to be MUCH quieter around here and the food bill will go down. About ten days from now (first I have time) about 7 turkeys are heading to freezer camp. Then the food bill will drop like a rock! Deb
I am super excited to own chickens and can't wait for April! Actually I can, because I still need to build a coop, haha. I've really been enjoying reading all the great information on this site and I'm hoping I'm going to be as prepared as I can be for the arrival of my chicks. Hope everyone is doing well
