I love those chickens, they have such a sleek look. I am looking forward to seeing these silver leghorns too!

I had a gentlemen come pick up chickens today that wanted showgirls specifically, and was happy to get them. That always brings a smile to my face. I love those silly things.

A friend of mine sent this photo, and I wanted to share it with you. I think it is so cute to see babies with a rooster. I wonder what breed he is?

He is a showgirl.................not a SQ, not even a BQ.....................but he's a very sweet boy and would make a nice pet. He has a face that needs a mother to love it. He popped out of some shipped eggs that I bought.

hehe I am getting those cute little white pullet eggs. I'll be camera happy this weekend and be sure to get some. Chiqita found a swap for a fixer upper Hovabator- some of my duck eggs and some of her Turkey eggs (isn't she sweet??) from Washington. I'm going to start collecting eggs next week before I re-home my extra males.

I took a video of my goose laying an egg...hehe its very graphic (LOL) and in the background you see one of the TJ Leghorns walking along minding her own business. Their combs are getting bigger! It's so cool!

I'm wondering if any norcal locals can help me find some good laying hens. I just want 2-3 at most. I will go as far south as Sac & north up to Grass Valley...maybe a little higher I need eggs!

Do you need chicks, pullets or ladies already a layin'?
(i dont have any to give but thought it would help others to clarify)

I know Jeff here in Redding sells some pullets- various breeds. Not sure what he has available. Where are you?
