Whoa!! That's amazing! It's also entirely possible that one was an Appleyard. They aren't mating yet- the drakes act like they want to then stop short, look confused and swim in circles. So funny. But anyway- yay! I am so excited!!

We sold a Ram to someone who wanted to breed him, so that was nice. But what was also nice was she gave me 11 duck eggs!

I really want to hatch them, only problem is, I've never hatched duck eggs before.
Advice, hints, and instructions are appreciated!
Also, I was given green and white eggs, and were told they were from Mallard and Muscovy ducks. Do one of those breeds lay green eggs?

Help! One of my girls is making a lot of noise. Almost crowing! How do I stop it?
what kind? some of my girls talk alot and get noisy when laying
Hello guys! I was wondering how old for silkie/sizzles/frizzles to go outside? I have a crate to put them in for bedtime and then lock them in the run during the day to protect them from the rest of the flock- so they can see and be seen by the flock...but it is cold at night still. So I'm a little unsure. They are on my porch under a red heat lamp still. Oh and they are 8 weeks old today. :D
I put mine out at 3 weeks with a light. At 5 weeks turned the light off. Last Tuesday we had 12" off snow and they where out in there open coop with a tarp on top and there is just the 2 of them. They are fine.
anyone in northern california breeding blue andalusians?
andalusians ? I think that is here name in Reno area. She is on the Heritage thread alot
Nope, it's The Venetian. Gorgeous, large rooms and a bed that was as comfortable as mine at home. This is the mall that connects to The Venetian. You can take a Gondola ride on the river. The ceiling is painted blue with clouds. It took us 2 days to get through the whole mall. I've never walked so much in my life - came home with blisters on both feet.
well at least you did not say Best Western or Travel Lodge
I'll PM you what information I've found out.
me to please

I'm so sorry :(. Ducks get so heartbroken, I still get tears in my eyes when I remember poor Luke running on the ground calling to the ducks flying in the sky to come down to him. If she is not attached to eggs 2 boys can get along well too. You DO see ducks show up in Animal shelters. There will be a metric ton of babies after Easter :(.
Thanks for reply. No she is totally open to a male, she just did not know if they would bond as well
