Thanks!!! I am soooo going to do that!! I turned them at least 4x's each day. For some reason I think the brown one moved a little closer to the thermometer since I last took a pic. Should I just leave that one alone just in case? Not candling was part of my homeschooling science project. I'm kicking myself, but it's part of the project. Floating wasn't ruled out though :) I'm going to listen to the brown & float the others.
Thanks soooo much!!

Good news!!! The one that I thought moved DID!!! I picked it up & heard a peep in there, but not in the others.... Maybe I should sit on my hands a little longer?

The answer to "Why bake instead of just scramble eggs for the chickens?" is two-fold:
Too many eggs to scramble at once and too labor intensive.

Just cracking eggs into a deep 13X9 pan and baking them is SO easy! Plus, you don't have to be careful about shell shards. Don't need to watch it, and it bakes into a nice thick, flat loaf to break up and give to the flock.

The majority of yolks, unbroken, make yolk nuggets inside the "loaf" of white and broken yolks.

I did it the first time last night and gave Baked Eggs Treat to the flock today. Oh MY!

This solved a huge excess egg problem for me.

Of course, I could be more aggressive about egg sales... But during the nasty weather, the girls weren't wiping their feet before entering the nest boxes, so there were many more eggs I was not selling to anyone (I don't wash eggs).

Thank you again to Debs_flock and ElitePoultry!

No problem, I just took three pans full out of the oven.

Now I need to finish sorting what has moved to the "saving to maybe hatch/sell" to the "eating eggs" to the "cook for the chickens eggs". I probably still have about 15 dozen eggs saved up, but three+ dozen are shipping out tomorrow to make new babies for other people
