California - Northern

It was great meeting you yesterday. Sorry, I blabbed on and on. No wonder you are confused. I think we talked about every breed under the sun. LOL

Regarding candling, I always candle on Day 7. You will be able to see what is happening in the light eggs. The Welsummer eggs are very dark and thick. I don't candle them until day 14. If in doubt - hold out. That's my motto.
Lol well I blabbed right back at ya! My sister-in-law just sort of glazed over!!! She isn't a chicken person per se.

These are Spanish breeds. The EO Marraduna Basque are not directly related to GreenFire or the Canadian Basque that Skyline has. These are the correct color according to the Spanish SOP.

The Pita Pintas are extremely rare in the US. These may be some of the only ones around here. They lay a Cream white egg and a lot of them. They are also called Astorian Paints and come from That part of Spain.

Both are very friendly breeds and are heat Hardy.

I am getting hatching eggs from both flocks later this year.

if you are making a list of people interested in the pita pintas, please add my name to it!!! they are just amazing.

one personal one. :D

ok some birdies...

these girls need a good molting asap.

Pullet right? My red egger. She's about 7 weeks old. But she is getting red wattles and her comb is getting quite red too...

Same chick walking...

Pullet? Also about 7 weeks old...

everyone loves this pretty OE

Now my duckies...
they were coming up for breakfast

Intruders!!! They keep coming to our pond and trying to grub with my waterfowl.

And this pretty little scale I found at Costco just yesterday. I didn't have a kitchen scale and have been looking for one ad this one was $10 cheaper than the one I saw at Target that I liked. So $19.99 not too bad. Goes up to 11 lbs.

I have the same one and I love how offset the weigh pad is from the reading window. I can weigh all my egg shipping boxes with ease.

I fell in love with them when I babysat Megan's chicks (the ones you hatched, Ron) for her while she was out of town.
