They will be the next project after the EO Basque. With 5 pullets and 2 cockerals I have a good start on them. I will be hatching out hundreds of them this summer....Hatching eggs should be available between hatches.

Please put me on the list for eggs!

This is exciting news! Where in the Bay Area are you? We are on the Peninsula and in the East Bay Fairly regularly. I am happy to know about the Langshans because I actually have them on my wish list too but I have two Australorps right now and am thinking COLOR!

Color as in different egg colors? Here is a pic of my Langshan eggs along with three lighter colored SPPR eggs in the center. I was pleased with the darker color that they lay. I always know which egg is a Langshan egg. In my backyard flock, I have a hard time telling the difference between my Barred Plymouth Rock, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Speckled Sussex, Coronation Sussex, and Buff Brahma eggs. They are all a light brown.

Does anyone in Sonoma County have a meal worm farm they would let me check out? I am really curious. My hubby thinks I am nuts.....but in the long run its cheaper than buying them.

That is so cute! Is that a Barred? Frizzled's are on my list if we find d a place with property later on.

I was rooting around on the web for legbar info (getting more and more excited ) and almost fainted over some of the pricing. While I want quality birds and egg color and production ... My husband may cut off my quest at that cost.

What is a good fair price for white or creme legbars? And who currently has eggs, pullets, or hens who won't ask my to chop off my legs as payment?!!
