Crazy broodies and hens!!!

Why oh why do hens like to pile on top of each other when there are empty nest boxes?

There are 4 hens in this nest box...two are broody. My son has started to where socks on his hands to collect the eggs

Now I have 4 broodies including 3 hens that want to sit on eggs and one with chicks.

They are such good mommies!

Thank you. I will do that this week.

Did you ever find room for all those eggs in your incubator

? You are going to have lots of baby chicks!

Yes! and the broody is doing a great job too. She is very dedicated and only has to hold out until Sunday.

My blue momma hen and her babies. She doesn't let anyone mess with her babies without putting up a fuss. The babies tend to nearly disappear in the deeper grass, but all come a running when she calls them.

Oh, so cute!! What a nice looking hen...what breed is she?

Hmmmm, my post seems to be invisible.

We processed our first quail today.............................way easier than chickens. I hope I like them, they are destined for Cinco de Mayo dinner.

This little piggy went to market...this little piggy went home......am I the only one who see's little piggy's here?

Trish...the feathering is beautiful on your birds...sigh...

Curly is out of orthopedic care. She will always walk a little weird but she rolls with it.

Good Night!

I'm so bummed. I have all the cute pics of the baby geese. One I hatched and one I picked up for a companion. The one I hatched is a pure Brown African - hatchery strain. And the companion is a 2 week old Buff Dewlap African from Holderreads. (Lucky me!) hope I have a couple of girls. :D

It's killing me that when I try to upload photos from my phone is just goes back to the empty box like nothing happened. No pictures. :(
