I hadn't thought of it but she does look like a skinny Cornish. This morning she tried to do that hop and fly thing....didn't get far but she didn't fall over.

Did you report the add to CL? They are supposed to remove adds like that.

Yeah, those are all gamefowl. Some beautiful breeds of chickens. They may be breeding fighting birds, but you don't really know that for sure.

That would be like saying a person that raises American Staffordshire Terriers is dog fighting. Guilt by association with a breed.

And I realize they said this "Anything sold for illegal purposes..!!!" in their ad, but I took that more of a typo/misspeak. I've seen plenty of people on here that have problems with spelling, grammar and English.

There's a gamefowl specialty show at the CA State Fair every year. The people that raise those birds are just as proud of their accomplishments as every other breeder. There was a gamefowl show at the big Stockton show too.

game fowl people are in the top 10 of most intense breeders IMO.
I find them fascinating because it seems like such an American thing. Each line started with some guy with a plan.

That's a good point Deb. I googled and agree the colors are amazing. I took "anythong sold for illegal purposes" as a mistake as well. Now I have googled the tags and there seem to be a full range of hits from links to fighting videos to what seem to be legit breeders. Interesting that they have different lingo. I learned something new today
