She is a hatchery Australorp. She hatched on 4/14/12. It never entered my mind that any of my hatchery girls would go broody so I bought a bunch this year who are know for it then she surprised me. She is also a wonderful nearly daily layer and a sweet lap chicken.
 
oh and Flowers of Abba tell your kids they did a nice job with the name. Why the Royals picked George over James I don't get

Deb? Any more thoughts on your all out Turkey Hoedown around thanksgiving? Or is it a Turkey wrangling party? I can't recall now. All I recall is that you have an abundance o' Turkey and Thanksgiving is coming up!

We may still be able to do something along these lines. We moved turkeys around this weekend. The 12 adults moved to a new pen and the 50+ youngsters took over their old pen/garden. There are still around 15 or so younger/new poults.
