my white leghorn suddenly died last month at about age 4 or 5. I feel like white leghorns are really fragile due to what they're bred for....

Going to ....I hopeHey guys! Do any of you have chicks for sale this late in the year? We're looking to replenish our layers... I don't want production birds, just some decent laying breeds![]()
I just lost the second laying hen this monthshe Was 8 and had a happy life though. she only had one working leg, so she was an easy target.![]()
I use a dremel with a small bit to drill the holes in the end. I have a syringe that I use to drawn the liquids out. It works better if you break the yolk and kinda scramble the insides. I rinse them out with water then hydrogen peroxide and let them dry before decorating them. How do you "Blow out" an egg? One of my chickens died yesterday but laid an egg prior. She had been ill for a few days and I don't want to eat the egg. I didn't think I liked her but I cried for that 3 yr. old leghorn. I buried her by our dog.

Sounds like a productive day! It's nice at the end of the day, you can say you got a lot done. And went to a party too!!
Why Thank You ! Lol sorry could not resistWhat a handsome hunk!
Ohh hope you get better soon. Are you in Town or in the country. Uou should be ok if in town unless you are on the outskirts . ( For Bobcats anyways.OMG!!! Now I know why I have been stressing over this chicken coop move for the last 4 weeks. It took FOREVER! I did finally get it moved and need to reinforce the area they will be in. I heard that they have Bobcats in the area as well as Opossum, Raccoons, Dogs, Etc. How big to Bobcats get, poundage wise?
Tomorrow I go back to get the last little bit and have the movers move the big furniture. I am so tired, but I wanted to catch up and see what has been going on.
I ended up getting a sore throat on Thursday, and had a fever and chills last night and felt like poo all day. So much fun to move when you aren't feeling well. Thank goodness for family and ex husbands! The ex helped me move the coop today and I got a giant pet carrier on loan from Placer SPCA It could have held all 13 birds, but I put two in the small pet carrier just to give them a little room. Now I have to lug that giant thing back but it worked really well.
That is Jim Poole. He says this may be his last year with them. I have Crele , Black penes laying and white EmpordanesaYa I remember you talking about them that why I was showing you, they're somewhat new to eBay though aren't they? I haven't seen them much. Pretty birds. Do you sell hatching eggs from yours?
I just finished a batch of Apricot Pineapple Jam! The house smells so good.
I might be persuaded to give up the Wheaten Penedesenca pullet. She is close to point of lay.
I am off to take pictures now.
you have a very secure coop and run at leastAH! As we were driving away from home to go to church we saw this HUGE bobcat on our private road! It stopped and turned and went away from our yard but it looked as it it was heading towards the neighbors garden which butts up to our garden area and coop run!
I thought you would want the pictures. I almost sent them when I posted the pictures to the thread.Ron they are looking good. Can you send me these photos too? [email protected]
