Today was the first chance I've had in a week or so to actually spend a few minutes in the coops with daylight. It looks like they have chosen the "deep feather" method. One of the bantams strolled out of the coop and had to take inventory, I didn't recognize her as the other SLWB she is missing so many feathers.
Oo, take a pic and post it on the worst molt picture contest thread! I love the before/after pics. Now I'm not so worried about all the feathers my english orp is dropping. It's put her in quite the mood; she's decided to take out all her frustration on my poor Swedish flower hen, chasing and visciously pecking with no warning whatsoever. Hopefully she'll calm down soon.
