California - Northern

Would you consider sheep, instead? MUCH easier to contain. I have a young ram for sale. He and his buddy have grown up on our front lawn, since I can't put them out with the flock. They're great lawn mowers. I just drag the wire panel pen around where I want it mowed.
Clint has turned out to be the sweetest guy! Super friendly, every time he sees me he runs up and leans against me and looks up at me, wanting to be scratched. He's as loveable and personable as a dog. I've had offers to buy him from people who want him for meat but even my husband says no. I need to find him a home as a breeder or pet. I really did not intend to get attached to this guy, but he's so charming!
I have heard that friendly rams are especially dangerous, but I just can't imagine this one would ever turn nasty. Oh and no shearing- this is a St. Croix Hair sheep!

Just vouching for this boy...as sweet as he can be and I had the sweetest ram in history growing up. This one tops him. Also goats are REALLY hard to contain. You think you want them to control the weeds at point A and they end up on your porch eating what is growing in the hanging baskets. Oh, and bringing the baskets down in the process. I love goats but unlike the avg sheep, they consider any barrier as something to be crossed...like Icelandics :)

Thank you, as you can see, we (my mom houses her chickens with us) have a nice cockerel! Looking for a girlfriend! This guy is with 2 of our Speckled Sussex right now. Their calm nature settled him right down. I'd take a Speckled Sussex Cockerel

But not a Brabanter. Thanks though!

California is a very long State. On the East coast, you would have gone through many states to reach Stockton. When we lived in Corning, we had an exchange student from Costa Rica staying with us--First thing he wanted to know was when we were going to Disney Land! That is a 10 hour drive from Corning.
At least he picked somewhere in the same state--when a friend from the UK visited someone in Pennsylvania, he wanted to take a weekend drive to the Grand Canyon:gig
Thats funny!
