California - Northern

when I built my runs I put them in the pasture to keep the needles from falling into the netting. well poor chickens are in the only place on the property with real snow still 1 week later .
it has melted under the trees and on the slope areas.

I got more netting to cover one run and finish the other one that is only 3/4 covered yesterday as well. should keep the silver ameraucana in. they like to fly

Not doing Orps ...haven't for several years. Lots of bantams and waterfowl. Large fowl: New Hamps, Shamo's and Asils.

Some of the many birds I raise now. I am going to be selling off extra birds here very soon.

id love to hatch some runner ducks in the spring if the would approve

Walt are those mallards or rouen ducks? I have been debating getting a rouen duck to cross to the muscovies as meat crosses.

I need more land!

I don't ship anything, but if you want to come by and pick up some eggs we can work something out. I have some of the best Runners in the US. They are pretty crazy though.

w.
I had 2 at my last house but only had 1 coop and my rooster was picking on them. I have to get the ok from the boss and build a run.
I can ship you some eggs though if you want to see how I pack my eggs when I ship

That is a Mallard. I would not add anything to the Muscovys. Rouens are big.....if you can find real Rouens.....which is not easy to do, but they do not compare to a real Muscovy when it comes to meat. A real Muscovy is a huge bird.....huge!! Males are 15-17 lbs if you have the real deal.

So my crested cream legbars are right next to my Marans/Olive Egger pen. I checked eggs yesterday and in the Marans/Olive pen i found what I thought could've been a CCL egg at first but after looking closer, it was GREYISH green? Anyone have Olive Eggers made with blue laying Easter Eggers and Marans that lay a Greyish egg? Also she is either a Very late layer or this was just a fluke. Could it just be an oops?
