Eggs!

First pic is with a large store egg outside the box for comparison, and the second pic has the egg my daughter found while I was putting the store egg in the fridge (that's a piece of shredded paper...) I'm not actually sure how many days these 4 eggs represent--I've not been bothering to check. Based on the size and shade differences, I think I have at least 2 birds laying.

Definitely Curry, my GLW--she's much redder than the pic shows. My other 2 maybes are Fritatta (SLW) and Omelette (WR with Bluekote). Curry and Fritatta are my youngsters, while Omelette finished up her molt.

I don't think Souflee or Quiche are in the running--they're still pretty pale, and their combs are fairly thin.

Absolutely nobody is squatting, which is one reason I wasn't bothering to check. Every single egg was in a nestbox, though!
Congrats!

Got my first Wellie egg today! So excited!
And Congrats!

My friends who own the farm that my breeding flock lives at are looking for some Muscovy ducks. I can't remember if anyone on this thread breeds them but I told them that I would ask. Anyone have Muscovy ducks???

Do they want them for Meat and eggs?

They didn't say. I'm thinking mostly meat but maybe eggs, too. They have a big flock of white crested ducks that roam free on the farm. I think that they sometimes eat their eggs but mostly just let them do their thing. I'll have to ask them what they want them for. I was busy with chicken chores when they asked me if I know any one who breeds them and didn't think to ask why they wanted them. Maybe they would let me hatch ducklings for them!

Oh Yes!

Moscovies are different for Pekin based ducks so I would love to hatch them too!

For someone else though...No room for Ducks here.
