If we can do this there is a business there. I can think of a lot of people who could use European or Australian sperm.

Speaking of it did you know Australians only have lf silkies?
If you could get some Silkie sperm shipped to you from Australia, would you be able to get some large Fowl Silkes? Would you use your largest Silkies Hens and then select for size?

There is a market for Black meat chickens.

Ok Chrissy I JUST got that joke and it's even too far back to quote.

I need more coffee.
haha, I'm switching from coffee to espresso…it's one of those days!

We've had fun with this topic, but Jason is genius! If you can get viable sperm shipped to you in a timely manner that's awesome! Heck, I can do the dropper! Easy peasy. Just imagine the possibilities!
I found this on shipping. Fed Ex and Ups has some overnight international shipping. Night sure exactly the criteria on getting overnight.. Probably expensive, but for quality stock I'd do it. Shhhh…don't tell my husband that

I think we have LF silkies here--at least, I remember going to the poultry barn at the fair last August and thinking that the silkies weren't that much smaller than the others.
We do not have Dual purpose meat silkies in the US. I know they have them in China so I hope the ones in Australia are the Meat production type.

Could you imagine cooking up a nice Silkie colored meat dinner, from a Cockeral that dressed out over 4 pounds at 16 weeks?

Ya Hoo! We got rain! First time in several months. I've been saving gray water from the house and fish tanks to water my roses. That's a pain but it makes us more conscious of the water we waste like running the water until it get's hot to brush our teeth.

Here's a picture of our coop after 3 week-ends. The back doesn't have outside walls or doors yet. It's a long ways from being finished. It is 4'x8'. We're making it so it can be divided. We just have the three Jap bantams. I have all mismatched windows from the local salvage store. Our vents are up under the roof where you can't really see them from the picture.
