Gorgeous!!!Here are some recent pics of my Pita Pinta pullets. They can be hard to take pics of because as soon as I go out there, they mob me. They don't seem to be leary of the camera at all unlike most of my other birds. They aren't quite at POL but soon! Zoro caught one yesterday and had his way with her! I put out an extra nest box yesterday with a fake egg in it.![]()

3 pics of the same pullet. She was very interested in the camera!

This pullet has the most white out of the 7 pullets.
Someone...Ron maybe??? said at some point last hatching season that the chicks that power through and make it often seem stronger. Maybe it was Deb regardless this is a super cute baby. What are the other ones?? Sorry I forget and just because I covet Isbars, Both Blue and Splash may hatch from the same pairing right?ok, here are the three hatchlings so far (with pips showing on two more eggs) -- one blue isbar and two birchen marans:

the one that's standing was the one that had trouble breaking through the egg last night! looks very strong and healthy.

Yes, the ones that get out on their own after seeming to be stuck are often the healthiest ones.Someone...Ron maybe??? said at some point last hatching season that the chicks that power through and make it often seem stronger. It seems like Isbars are having problems with hatching and thriving after hatch. I would hesitate to help them even if the eggs were very expensive just to help them with vigor.
Of course they may just not ship well.
it was a birchen marans chick that had trouble, not the isbar -- it got out with no problems. mine have all thrived, so far at least -- i've had bad luck with hatching shipped eggs (which may be operator error as much as the effects of the shipping process!), but the only problem i've had with isbars is that the first two pullets i had (from Miss Molly) got eaten by a bobcat.
