Yes...the one with the "discussion" about not being available to California residents even though the seller lives in California. They never would explain why not, but posted a new on yesterday that was open to everyone.

Chiquita thought it had to keeping her stock out of the area so that they would not compete with the other breeder. California is a long state so that does not make sense. A person in Nevada or even Arizona would be closer than someone in Crescent City.

There is but I think I'd have to open it again to see them and fill them.

You can use either 1/4 inch water line, like they use in refrigerators or drinking straws. A little funnel or a syringe to get the water in. Use the vent holes and move the tubing down to the channels.

If you have to open the incubator, get a spray mister with clean water in it to mist the eggs. Be careful about getting the pips wet though.

They often speed up hatching when the humidity gets to the correct level.

Exactly! I am at the opposite end of the state and don't show or even breed so there was no risk there. It just seemed weird they wouldn't say what the reason was. As I posted at that time, it seemed sort of like the Seattle Seahawks refusing to sell play off tickets to people from California. But I am just glad I got them. Did you see the pictures of them? I know there is no guarantee they will all hatch as mottled birds but hopefully I will get a few pullets out of it!

Hi Chrissy! Your girl is lovely. As far as my comment about her color, please ignore me :}
I cannot overstate how completely clueless I am about color. Your Maran has a nice pattern to her spots as well as some other positives that my Jersey Giant doesn't.

Oh no worries! I don't know about all of these things so I don't ever take offense. If my birds have something to improve on I like to know. I did re-look and she has some areas where the feathers have more of a solid spot. In person they look less black and more dark grey. I still don't know if that's a DQ. I can't find a SOP on Splashes. So I welcome your comments. If it's something that I need to work on I need to know, and I appreciate it . It's just an area I hadn't thought of before, so I need to find out about it.

They are Blues. The Blue color is what is being worked with.
