Does anyone here have BCM eggs available? Someone contacted me, but I don't raise BCM. If someone has eggs available, and if you are willing to ship can you please PM me with your email address and I will forward it.

thanks,
I have black but they have a hidden nest somewhere so I'm not shipping till we have the talk and peters rooster is henseminating. Chrissy has blue with dark eggs if they just want Marans and dark eggs.

Thats all I got that are in the country atm.

I feed King Freedom 20% Protein Chick Starter to all my birds, regardless of age. King Freedom is Corn, Soy and GMO free. I offer Free Choice Oyster Shells and have not had any problems with soft shells, in fact I think egg shell quality is better now than when I was feeding layer pellets . The food is corn free and the birds are at or above a healthy weight.

It could be that your birds do not like the taste of MM feed. Do your birds have access to feed at night? If so, I would remove feed at night and give it back to them in the morning. Don't give them any scratch or treats and see if she is eating the feed.

I am just about ready to have some Mille Fleur Leghorn soup!!!

I set a bunch of Sulmtaler eggs 3 weeks ago, and then moved my Sulmtalers to new coop and run. Their old coop stood empty.

One afternoon, I noticed there were eggs in the empty coop. I was completely confused because I knew I had collected all the Sulmtaler eggs. So.... how did these eggs get there?

The next day I discovered that not 1, but 2 MFL had snuck into the empty coop to lay their eggs. The shocking thing is that in order to get into that coop, the birds had to fly 10 feet up into the rafters of the barn and squeeze through a gap in the wire. Unbelievable!!

My Sulmtaler eggs are hatching, and you guess it.... some of the chicks hatching are MFL. I purposely did not set any MFL eggs, but the hens decided otherwise.

She asked for BCM. I can confirm with her.

Just watch her, it may or may not be. Sometimes bantam chicks are slower to start running, sometimes they are faster. depends on if the mother watches all her chicks or jsut the favored one.

I just want to say one thing about Phang. She always does it with her auctions, but I know people contact her and as she has ad usually will waive it.  Its easier to type one restriction then confuse people, and if they want to get them anyway, they can go from there. I know  these eggs usually sell for a LOT more on peoples websites, and you  cant  grudge people trying to pay for feed IMO. She does a fantastic job with the thread,  is a good moderator, and goes out of her way to help people on things she is not required to. So don't  be too upset with her.

I have been following those buy sell threads for about 2 years now and she has always been steller.

A quail has escaped and is hiding behind my desk.   I can hear it dust bathing on fallen paper having a solo quail party back there.

oh...she has been great. She was very friendly in her reply...almost apologetic. There was another person who replied though that was. ..shall we say....not so much. Even luvinblue was very nice. I definitely do not think badly of either of them.

I may have to have chiqita become the henseminator to my BBS marans. BCM's are said to be helpful on improving BBS lines. I don't want to purchase another rooster, so @chiqita you may have to get on your Breaking Bad suit and head on over

I tried the King Layer crumbles for my older hens. I liked it. The only problem is I believe it said it contains Peanut Meal. My son is allergic to peanuts and sometimes feeds for me. He hasn't gone into anaphylactic shock, but gets really sick. Even being around it wouldn't be good. Also, I heard soy can cross over into the eggs, and wondered about Peanut Meal doing the same. I wanted to call and find out more about it. Yes they have access at night. I will try that and see. Thank you so much :)
