The lack of bio-security in some feed stores in mind boggling.  There is a feed store near me that takes in adult birds and houses them in the same room as the day old chicks.

This place dosn't do that, but the do let birds with nasty respiratory infections wander all over the place and the employees will handle sick birds, but not wash their hands before loading your grain, hay, etc.

My whole flock seemed healthy this am when I went to let them out!!!

Amazing!

I'm so thankful! My Roo came running out crowing and dancing around one of his girls! My Buff Orp seems fine and the first sickly hen is still thriving! Whatever it was/is seems to be short lived and they made it! I'm going to continue the Corid.

On another note I'm nervous.... There's no pips or movement in my 5 Serama eggs or my 1 CLB. It's day 20. We lost power for about an hour a week or so ago. Temps dipped to 82. But when I candled them to set them they all looked good (i think). I've been battling my bator to keep the temps at 99.5 it keeps wanting to be at 98.5

And keeping my humidity up is a pain right now too. We'll see.... I sure hope they hatch!!

What a sweet sight that must have been to see them all looking healthy! I think I might have to find some Corid to have on hand.

A short term drop in temp shouldn't have been a problem, I wouldn't think. I have heard of people finding an egg that had gotten out from under a broody and was cold when they found it, but they put it back under the hen and it still hatched. I will definitely keep my fingers crossed for you!
