carefully wash the poo off--do not pull anything

1. plain yogurt--just a bit each day
2. Scrambled eggs
3. chick grit or small play sand

Even if you feed them crumbles, grit does something for them. It is caused by stress. In your case, cold temperatures during shipping.

Hes a silkie so im trying to be careful of the feathered legs. iiive never had a bird like tthis so does anyone have pics of gpod ways to splint his legs

Do you have Zip Ties? IF so you could try this....

I dont think we have zip ties atm and okay only a few have the pasty butt and i think the last time with the LF chicks it stopped on its own after a week or so

Make sure they can poo. The "Paste" can seal the vent shut which will kill them.

I check all of the baby chicks each day for the first week. It is very fast.

It usually does but I did have one that had issues for a long time.

I get plain yogurt from Grocery outlet--it is not expensive and you only have to give a tablespoon a day to your chicks. You should be able to find some sand close to you too. Home Depot sells play sand for something like $4.00 for 60 pounds, which would last a long time.

I use the left over yogurt to make Chicken Tikka Masala....
