I have had to delete a couple posts because I was afraid I was coming off too strong. The fact that chicks are being shipped in this weather disgusts me. The PO has regulations about shipping when it is too hot, there should also be regulations about shipping when it is too cold.

Nikki I am really sorry you and your chicks are going through this. I hope the remaining chicks survive.

The hatcheries should care more. I saw the video you have on your site, Deann. That just broke my heart. My husband brought it up again today after I told him about it before. It's unbelievable. It's really bad how they really couldn't care less. They know what they're sending them into.

As of right now no more have died one is to weak to even stand though. could i disolve some of the crumbles in water and give to him since he wont eat? And i dont they have suspended shipping. its all about money with them

@deann i looked on your site to see the video chrissy mentioned and i was only able to watch a few seconds of it before it made me sick to my stomach. when i extra roos i either find homes or humanely kill them and they are then used for food. i ciuld never do that to a chick. those people are heartless

@Chickengirl1304 .......Did you see the eggs are hatching? So far 3 Marans and 1 OE from you. 2 more Marans are pipped and starting to zip and another OE is pipped. 3 more Marans in the Bator and 2 under the broody. 2 more OE in the bator.....

OH! I missed your post! Thats great So glad they are hatching well for being shipped!

This. I have to sit on my hands when people are ordering from hatcheries, I hae a BIG mouth. Go for the positives of the alternative rather then freaking them out, I try, i try...

for your could be duck addicts, there are call duck eggs on the WYGS. SOO CUTE SOO LOUD!!! SO EASY TO KEEP IN CAGES WITH PONDS!

If only I could find an extra million laying around to by the 50 acre place up the way...
