How often should i clean the brooder? Ive bee. doing it everyday because of the dead ones but do i need to keep cleaning it everyday or every few days? And since they have figured out food would it be okay to put the wood shavings back in with them?

I may have to cull one from this hatch. The problem with the Brinsea is that some that should not have made it still make it.
Really? The Brinsea is that good? So far this is my "technically" second hatch with mine, so not enough experience.

Oh...and it has been confirmed...the broody Banty I gave 3 chicks to is officially a chick thief. She had 5 under her this morning...
Haha, that is so cute!

As promised, the chick pictures!

They are New Heritage Delawares from @kathyinmo s line. I hatched them for @capayvalleychick

So cute!!! Thank you for posting the hatching video, too! It's been a week since my last group hatched and I wish that I had a group hatching this weekend!

Awwww! So glad that they are finally here! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Will you be home this afternoon, so I can pick them up?
Looks like maybe the rubber bands are slipping off???

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEANN!

The rubber bands are a bit floppy. I think they will stay on until you get your permanent bands on.

I will be home after 2 probably. I am going to do some shopping soon.

They are very cut little guys!
