You may even hear her crowing, some of mine do when I take babies away.Thanks.... I don't think I will try it again....at least not with that banty. I am hoping the last mottled makes it under the Wyandotte. The Cochin was still trying desperately to get back into the pen. I finally put her in a "Humane" raccoon trap with food and water and put it in the new doghouse on the back porch so the other girls could get back into the pen. The dogs haven't used yet anyway so I might as well get some use from it. May have to keep her there for a couple of days. She seems very determined. I hear her let out what sounds like an egg song every once in a while to let me know how unhappy she is....
one hen died already because he made wounds in her sides and her wings covered it and I didn't see until it was too late
