California - Northern

I have had some of them do that, but mine got used to it eventually. The funniest thing was when I first got a hen apron and put it on one of the hens and all the other chickens freaked out and ran away from her. She was trying to run away from herself too! :gig

Hahahaha! Love the descriptions! Totally what my girls did!

I just recently put some aprons on 5 of my hens. They seemed to take to them really well. Now their poor little bald backs can regrow some feathers. :)

Saw this thread and had to post. I am a former NorCal girl (Gilroy), if yall know where that is aka., garlic capital of the world. I now reside in Virginia. You all were talkin bout North and South, and I am in the middle of who is Northerner and whose a Southerner. I remember the debate in Cali of whose north/south........Missin my friends there in the sunny state.

Well, a BIG California "Hello" to you too. You are welcome here anytime. They say that California is a state-of-mind. And YOUR mind is clearly in California.

Quote: I only have Lemon Cuckoo Orps. They are rare, but yes do get hot with all that fluff. If I mist them they seem to be fine. We also eat out excess roosters. I have 9 to butcher since no one is buying the roos. But they are the ones that pass the stripes. Hopefully wiht this new inky I can start selling chicks XD
